An Inter House English Debate Competition was organized on August 22, 2025 for the Students of Grade 5 on the Topic ‘Should exams be replaced with project-based assessments?’ The objective of this debate was to help students think critically about how they learn best and to explore whether exams should be replaced with project-based assessments. It aimed to encourage children to express their opinions, listen to different viewpoints, and understand the pros and cons of both methods. The children attentively listened to one another’s viewpoints, showing respect and interest in the diverse perspectives shared throughout the discussion. Their engagement reflected not only curiosity but also a growing sense of collaboration. Towards the end, the participants took part in a lively question-and-answer session with the judges, where they responded with clarity, thoughtfulness, and impressive poise. Their well-articulated answers demonstrated both depth of understanding and the ability to think, leaving a lasting impression on the panel.
