This special occasion marks the birthday of Major Dhyan Chand and honours movement\, teamwork\, and the joy of play. The event was designed to inspire enthusiasm and encourage a love for physical activity\, featuring fun\, age-appropriate games and challenges that made every child eager to leap\, laugh\, and learn. In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020\, the celebration emphasized experiential learning\, physical health\, and essential life skills. Incorporating sports into early childhood education supports holistic development\, helping children think critically\, act happily\, and grow purposefully. From balancing exercises to races filled with giggles and a yoga session\, our young athletes explored sports with excitement. Each activity helped build strength\, coordination\, and confidence\, while promoting values like fairness\, friendship\, and perseverance. The spirit of National Sports Day was felt not only through the games but also in the hearts of every child who ran\, jumped\, and smiled their way through a day full of discovery.

Rudra Mehrotra of I G and Naisha Patnaik of II J bagged 3rd position in the event\, ‘Runway Walk and Talk’. Advaita Aditya of I A and Aashvi Kaushik of II A bagged 3rd position in the event\, ‘Wasteland to Wonderland- Shape Town.’ Congratulations to our young stars. \nThis is just the beginning of many more incredible milestones ahead!

DESCRIPTION:Grade 2 Back to the Roots Competition\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe roots of our identity lie in our culture. \n -Anonymous \n\nOn August 19th and 21st\, Grade 2 students at DPS-GBN participated in the vibrant ‘Back to the Roots’ competition to celebrate India’s rich cultural diversity. Children expressed themselves through various engaging performances\, including speeches\, traditional songs\, dances\, and small acts (short skits). Each performance reflected their native traditions\, helping them connect with their roots and appreciate different cultures. The event also aligned with the NEP\, focusing on experiential learning. It was a joyful celebration that showcased talent\, creativity\, and the beauty of traditions while teaching the importance of respecting and valuing one’s cultural heritage. The event left everyone with smiles and a deeper connection to their roots.

DESCRIPTION:K1 Little Rhymer’s Show Competition\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA poem is a spider web\, spun with words of wonder and magic. \n -Charles Ghigna \n\nIn line with the National Education Policy (NEP) focus on holistic development and art-integrated learning\, Grade K1 students participated in the English Rhyme Recitation Competition ‘Little Rhymer’s Show’ on August 20 and 22\, 2025. The event aimed to enhance foundational literacy\, linguistic skills\, and 21st-century competencies such as confidence\, creativity\, and communication. Our students were dressed as their favourite characters\, animals\, and objects etc.\, to give live performances on the stage. Our little ones charmed everyone with expressive performances\, imaginative props\, and lively delivery. This experiential learning activity not only helped them overcome stage fright but also nurtured creative thinking and performing arts skills. They enjoyed exploring the beauty of ideas\, emotions\, expressions\, and the rhythm of rhyme. More than a competition\, it was a celebration of creativity and thinking beyond the ordinary.

DESCRIPTION:K2 Amrit Vaani Competition\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe true wealth of a nation is not gold or silver\, but the words of wisdom passed to its children. \n – Mahatma Gandhi \n\nWords turned into wisdom as our K2 learners at DPS-GBN took the stage for the Amrit Vaani (Doha Vaachan) competition held from Thursday\, August 28\, to Friday\, August 29\, 2025. With clear voices and joyful expressions\, the children recited timeless dohas and explained their meanings in easy words. Props and pictures added charm\, making each performance lively and engaging. The event fostered an appreciation of India’s rich cultural heritage while aligning with the NEP 2020 vision by nurturing critical thinking\, communication skills\, and creative expression. To us\, every child emerged as a winner\, speaking with unwavering confidence and pride. The competition also resonated with the spirit of SDG 4 – Quality Education\, nurturing value-based learning\, encouraging holistic growth\, and deepening the students’ connection to our cultural heritage. The Amrit Vani competition proved to be a transformative experience\, shaping young minds and fostering a love for cultural learning that will endure for years to come.
