The Primary Wing celebrated this occasion with great gusto and fervor. Students of Grade 5 enjoyed making colourful and vibrant Rakhis and writing letters to the soldiers. Students of Grade 4 proudly assembled a Slogan chain and the students of Grade 3 organized a Rally. The students of Grade 5 also got a chance to visit the War memorial and India Gate which was an enriching experience\, offering a glimpse into India’s rich history and cultural significance. The visit created an atmosphere of patriotism\, glory and pride. The celebration concluded with a Special Assembly wherein the whole wing came together and celebrated it with great enthusiasm. The melodious song\, inspiring nukkad natak and a foot tapping dance number fostered an unwavering sense of patriotism and national pride in the young ones. Indeed\, Independence Day is a reminder of the nation’s unity\, diversity\, and the sacrifices made by freedom fighters. It inspires citizens to work towards a better future\, upholding the values of liberty\, democracy\, and equality.

The children attentively listened to one another’s viewpoints\, showing respect and interest in the diverse perspectives shared throughout the discussion. Their engagement reflected not only curiosity but also a growing sense of collaboration. Towards the end\, the participants took part in a lively question-and-answer session with the judges\, where they responded with clarity\, thoughtfulness\, and impressive poise. Their well-articulated answers demonstrated both depth of understanding and the ability to think\, leaving a lasting impression on the panel.

The event was designed to inspire enthusiasm and encourage a love for physical activity\, featuring fun\, age-appropriate games and challenges that made every child eager to leap\, laugh\, and learn. In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020\, the celebration emphasized experiential learning\, physical health\, and essential life skills. Incorporating sports into early childhood education supports holistic development\, helping children think critically\, act happily\, and grow purposefully. From balancing exercises to races filled with giggles and a yoga session\, our young athletes explored sports with excitement. Each activity helped build strength\, coordination\, and confidence\, while promoting values like fairness\, friendship\, and perseverance. The event aimed to enhance foundational literacy\, linguistic skills\, and 21st-century competencies such as confidence\, creativity\, and communication. Our students were dressed as their favourite characters\, animals\, and objects etc.\, to give live performances on the stage. Our little ones charmed everyone with expressive performances\, imaginative props\, and lively delivery. This experiential learning activity not only helped them overcome stage fright but also nurtured creative thinking and performing arts skills. They enjoyed exploring the beauty of ideas\, emotions\, expressions\, and the rhythm of rhyme. More than a competition\, it was a celebration of creativity and thinking beyond the ordinary.

Props and pictures added charm\, making each performance lively and engaging. The event fostered an appreciation of India’s rich cultural heritage while aligning with the NEP 2020 vision by nurturing critical thinking\, communication skills\, and creative expression. To us\, every child emerged as a winner\, speaking with unwavering confidence and pride. The competition also resonated with the spirit of SDG 4 – Quality Education\, nurturing value-based learning\, encouraging holistic growth\, and deepening the students’ connection to our cultural heritage. The Amrit Vani competition proved to be a transformative experience\, shaping young minds and fostering a love for cultural learning that will endure for years to come.

Students in Grades 1 and 2 enthusiastically participated\, and the ‘D.E.A.R.’ program encouraged young learners to Drop Everything And Read\, fostering a passion for reading and improving literacy skills. Students brought their favourite storybooks and created inviting reading corners\, reading sessions sparked curiosity\, and students discovered new words\, characters\, and stories. Creative activities followed\, with students illustrating favourite characters\, inventing new book titles\, and designing cover pages. The book collection thus created offered around 150 books for Grade 1\, more than 100 books for Grade 2\, sparking a love for reading among young learners. This engaging event fostered critical thinking\, imagination\, and storytelling skills. The week was filled with joy\, creativity\, and a love for reading\, laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
