DESCRIPTION:Van Mahotsav\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“Let’s nurture the nature so that we can have a better future” -Anonymous \nTrees are an important part of a community and helps create a peaceful and a pleasing environment. Van Mahotsav is an annual tree-planting festival which is celebrated in the month of July wherein thousands of trees are planted all over the country. The Primary wing of DPS\, GBN celebrated Van Mahotsav to spread awareness about the environment and forest conservation. The Students of Grade III enjoyed making Posters and learning about it. Grade IV enjoyed a Nature Walk and explored the School’s beautiful gardens and flora. Students of Grade V came together and made a Slogan chain. They proudly showcased their work. The celebration encouraged and sensitized the children towards planting more trees. Indeed\, trees have supported and sustained life throughout our existence and our children should be taught to nurture the nature for a better future. \n

DESCRIPTION:Grade 2 Dazzling Drink Activity\n\n“The groundwork of all happiness is health.” – Leigh Hunt \nOn July 10\, 2025\, Grade 2 students enjoyed the Dazzling Drink activity\, where they creatively made refreshing summer beverages such as buttermilk\, salted lassi\, jaljeera\, lemonade\, coconut water with mint\, cucumber mint cooler\, and watermelon juice. These nutritious\, no-sugar drinks not only quenched their thirst but also taught them important lessons about healthy food choices. As they mixed ingredients\, shared their drinks\, and enjoyed the tasty results\, they gained a better understanding of healthy beverages. This fun\, hands-on activity reinforced healthy eating habits and supported SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being. It also encouraged creativity and practical learning\, making nutrition education enjoyable and memorable for the students.

DESCRIPTION:Excursion to War Memorial and India Gate\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAs part of our effort to instill patriotism in our young students and for them to develop a deeper sense of gratitude for our nation’s heroes\, an educational trip was organized for the students of Grade 5 to the War Memorial and India Gate on July 25\, 2025. The excursion was an enriching experience\, offering a glimpse into India’s rich history and cultural significance. The students were amazed to see the beautiful India Gate architecture which is a blend of classical simplicity and grandeur. Amar Jawan Jyoti: The eternal flame which pays tribute to India’s soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country\, created an atmosphere of patriotism\, glory and pride. The visit was a memorable experience and has left a lasting impression on one and all. \n

He also stressed on the need to cater the reasons for climate changes. Our students also learnt about reduction of carbon emissions by following the approach of avoid\, minimize and generate. It was a fruitful session.

DESCRIPTION:MathFest 3.0\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDelhi Public School\, Gautam Buddha Nagar successfully hosted the third edition of the Inter-School Mathfest on July 22\, 2025\, coinciding with Pi Approximation Day (22/7)\, a fitting tribute to the mathematical constant pi and the legacy of Srinivasa Ramanujan\, a legendary mathematician. The event provided a platform for Students from 29 schools to showcase their mathematical talents. The event featured a range of exciting competitions\, including Rang Tarang\, Math Vogue\, Brain Train\, Dance to Infinity\, and Mathematics Modelling Challenge. \nDr. Sanjeev Bansal\, Additional Vice Chancellor\, Amity University\, graced the event as the chief guest. The presence of experts such as Ms. Poonam Kalra\, a distinguished educator\, PGT and Supervisory Head; Ms. Nazia Khan\, Founder of Social Reinvent; Dr. Neetu Malhotra\, Principal of Satyam Fashion Institute; Ms. Devika Sharma\, Senior Editor-in-Chief; Shreya Dhoundial\, Senior Editor and anchor at CNN News 18; Mr. Pinaki Ranjan Bera\, MFA gold medalist; Ms. Monika Sood; Dr. Pankaj; and Ms. Jyoti Gupta added lustre to the event. The ceremony began with the lamp lighting by the Chief Guest\, judges\, and Principal Ms. Supriti Chauhan. \nStudents from grades I and II of DPS\, GBN impressed the audience with their portrayals of famous mathematicians\, including Ramanujan\, Shakuntala Devi\, and Aryabhatta. The event also featured energetic dance performances by DPS\, GBN Students. The Mathfest showcased the talents of Students from various schools\, who participated with enthusiasm and zeal. Winners were awarded accolades for their outstanding performances. The Inter-School Mathfest was a resounding success\, providing an enriching experience for both the host School and participating Schools. \n

She emphasized the importance of teacher training and continuous upskilling\, aligning her views with the vision outlined in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. \nDrawing from her experience in AI-integrated classrooms\, Ms. Jaggi illustrated how tools like AR and AI are used in her teaching practice. She also highlighted the importance of teaching students to critically evaluate AI-generated content\, instead of using it as a shortcut to avoid thinking. \nHer contribution to the panel highlighted the school’s commitment to innovation\, technology integration\, and future-ready learning. \nWe congratulate Ms. Jaggi on this remarkable achievement and are proud to have her represent DPS GBN on such a forward-looking national platform.
