The students of class II of Delhi Public School, Gautam Buddh Nagar extended the Teachers’ Day celebrations on a grand scale by performing a musical skit on the iconic movie, The Sound of Music by adding their
own flavour and by drawing parallels between the dedication of their loving teachers and the commitment exhibited by the protagonist Ms.Maria into teaching music to the Von Trapp children. They paid a unique tribute to their teachers by focusing on the hard work they put together in order to change each student’s life.

The event saw a mass participation, which was spread over two days, September, 30 and October 1, 2016 and was attended by eminent guests. On September 30, Ms. Maja Bard, an educationist from Germany, Dr.
Vibha Chauhan, Principal of Government High School Seelampur, Mr. Shailendra Chauhan, Sub Divisional Engineer (MTNL) and Ms. Reva Nayyar, Member, School Managing Committee graced the occasion with their presence. On October 1 2016, the School welcomed Mrs. Madhu Chandra, Director, Education (Lotus Green Pvt Ltd), eminent educationists- Ms. Geeta Shankar and Ms. Mona Sharma. Parent Representatives as well as the proud parents of the participants were present on both the days. The audience was left mesmerized by the magic these budding artists created on stage.
