“Books train your mind to imagination to think big” - Taylor Swift
Aligned with SDG 4, Quality Education, a classroom activity titled “Bloom with Books” was conducted for Grade 1 students on Thursday, April 23, 2026, to foster a love for reading among young learners. As a part of this initiative, the unique programme D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything and Read) was introduced, encouraging critical thinking and value-based learning from the foundational stage. By integrating kinesthetic tools like finger puppets, the activity strengthened phonemic awareness and narrative comprehension. This experiential approach encouraged young readers to take ownership of their learning, effectively bridging the gap between decoding text and meaningful storytelling. The children showed remarkable enthusiasm, reflecting a commitment to nurturing lifelong learning skills.
